Meet Elizabeth Baker, Psy.D., HSP
Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Health Service Provider
Welcome to Say More Counseling! I'm so pleased you're here. I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Knoxville, Tennessee. Prior to private practice, I have worked in both College Counseling and Inpatient Psychiatric Hospitals, both of which have given me over a decade's experience. I have worked with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, and concerns regarding adjustment, religion and spirituality, identity formation issues, traumatic experiences, shame, and much more. I am trained in DBT, Psychodynamic, CBT, Family Systems, and EMDR approaches and tailor my theoretical approach based on client needs, while always keeping multicultural awareness at the forefront.

I believe counseling and therapy are some of the most challenging and rewarding moments of your life and I'm so honored you have considered me as a potential companion on your journey. In my work, I value honesty, authenticity, and empathy above all else. It is so important to me that all feel comfortable, safe, and welcome in my office and strive to continually adjust and learn based on my client's needs.
Services
Individual Therapy
Individual therapy is for everyone! Individual therapy is a time for you to meet one-on-one with a mental health provider to talk about whatever is on your heart and mind. It's a safe, confidential space to share both happy and hard things.
Couples Therapy
Every couple goes through challenging times, whether it be a romantic relationship, friendship, roommates, etc. When two people blend their lives, there is bound to be a hurdle or two. Couples therapy can be very effective for developing coping and communication strategies to make your relationship even stronger.
Group Therapy
Group therapy is a collection of about 8 people that gather weekly for 60-90 minutes. Our groups are not tied to a specific topic, which allows group members to explore, discuss, and connect on topics and issues that are most relevant to them. Group is a safe, warm, and healing space to work on a variety of concerns.
Post-Doctoral Licensure Supervision
Supervision and mentorship of post-doctoral psychologists is a personal passion. We know first hand the importance of quality, consistent supervision and value the time we set apart for trainees by taking time to prepare for supervision. The first years out of graduate school can be tough and lonely at times. Perhaps we may be a good match!
